After many festive seasons and holidays, we are back in the „green“ season. Green is the liturgical color for the so-called „liturgical year“, which represents everyday life, so to speak. But hope accompanies us even in everyday life – and that is what the color green symbolizes.
In the language of the Mass, this means: “We proclaim your death, O Lord, and we praise your resurrection, until you come in glory”. A beautiful quote from Karl Rahner offers a concise explanation:
“The virtue of everyday life is hope – doing what is possible and trusting God to do the impossible.“
